Lava Beach Hotel has Class A Certification in Energy Efficiency.
Renewable Energies
We work with renewable energy systems for air conditioning and heating, hot water production, swimming pool heating and refrigeration and freezing of cold rooms. Among our sustainability solutions we would like to highlight the following:
- Geothermal energy system, one of the most powerful renewable energy sources, consisting on extracting heat from the earth
- Aerothermal energy system with high temperature heat pump installation.
- Photovoltaic solar panel system for generating green electricity.
- Solar thermal collector system for water heating.
Management of scarce and polluting resources
We put special care in the use of scarce resources and polluting compounds, that is why we have:
- Swimming pools with a disinfection system using salt chlorine by dissociation of salt.
- Lava Gardens have indigenous plants that require a small amount of water, one of the most scarce resources in Lanzarote, where there is not a single river. We have a rainwater collection system to a cistern for drip irrigation water.
- Led lighting throughout the hotel.
In addition, our newly built hotel features high standards of insulation and orientation.
All these measures have enabled us to obtain Class A certification in terms of energy efficiency, which we are certainly very proud of. At Hibiscus Hotels we committed many years ago to implementing measures aimed at reducing fossil fuel consumption and CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
